Hi
As i am about to finish my graduation and at the outset of my career i wondered if seniors could guide me which are the different specializations in the branch of chemical engineering. I have very little idea about the various branches and the specializations. I am slightly inclined towards Oil and Gas sector. Please guide me as to where i should look for to further broaden my knowledge and gain some expertise.

regards
Amit

amit,

I believe you are in India and since you are interested in oil and gas you may want to add to your qualifications by getting specialized qualifications related to oil & gas. The Institute of Petroleum (IIP), Dehradun a world class institute runs some very good post-graduate courses (M. Tech.) related to petroleum exploration and process design engineering. As usual the selection is based on your GATE scores and you will need to prepare for your GATE. Refer the link below for the IIP website and information on courses:

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Ankur.
