Dear sancoolin; you have two way for calculate the loss heat from isolated or refrigerated tank.

First way; rigorous using "Predict Storage Tank Heat Transfer Precisely By J.Kumana and S.Kothar" In the attachment file you can find the excel calculations (was made by Montemayor I think) and the article. (quite accurately)

Second way using short equations (is in Spanish I am sorry) the accuracy is more or less 5%, in the attachment you can find the article.

Finally for refrigerated or isolated tanks loss heat should be given by vendor.

Thanks for the heat loss article for tanks, quite useful. See http://www.cheresou...er-coefficient , post No 4, A2, indicating that need.

Dear french

In cells c-273, 273, 274 I find mistakes as

1.- Stephan Boltmann cte is in englis unitis instead of SI units

2.- Temperatures not need to add 460 if those are expressed in ºk

(6,67/10^8)*C52*((C262^4)-(C258^4))/(C262-C258)=5,548 w/m2ºK

(6,67/10^8)*C52*((C262^4)-(C258^4))/(C262-C258)=5,548

I suggest a great text. Transpor Phenomena by Bird, which treats a lot of this kind of examples.
