I am manufacturing a storage Tank as per API 650 however client request us to use of ST 37 2 plates instead of SA 283 GR.C. Materal equivalent charts show that ST 37-2 is not equivalents steel grade of SA 283 GRC but SA 284 Gr.C. When I checked API650 there iis no certain reference to usage of SA 284 GRC. Could you please support me in this regard usage of ST 37-2 can be possible, as per the yield strenght it seems good however mechancal compatibility I am not sure. Dia is 25 meters and 12 meters high.
