Hello,

I'm a student engineer and I have to create spreadsheets in order to design venting system on storage and process tanks. I have a question about the sizing equations. For the Inbreathing and outbreathing (thermal and normal) I used the API 2000 to find the required flow. Ence I've got the required flow, for the combination of outbreathing I can use the equation in Annexe D (quation D27) to calculate the effective discharge area.

But in the case of the combination of Inbreathing  this equation is not appropriate. So I decided to use the 2-24 equation in section 2-14 in CRANE TP410, but I'm not sure if I can use this equation to calculte the discharge area in a case of an In-breathing. Do you think this equation from CRAN TP410 is appropriate ?

Thank you very much,

And srry for the bad engllish (I'm a french student).
