Hi

I HAVE COME ACROSS A SITUATION WHEREBY I HAVE A NEGATIVE BACKPRESSURE(VACUUM) IN THE DISCHARTGE LINE OF A PSV.

Is this going to affect the performance /opening of the PSV........any other issues i need to take care?

Regards

Vinod

Normally no as your downstream pressure is under critical flow for gas.

It all depends on the type of PSV; balanced bellows (no), conventional (posssibly; effective set pressure may be lower than expected).

Other issues: None really. Joe addressed flow.
