Hello everyone!

I am currently studying injection of TEG directly into the feed gas stream, using piping as contactor. As this results in intimate contact between glycol and liquid HC, I am concerned about possible problems with foaming, especially in the regeneration unit. Does anyone know of literature describing foaming in glycol/hc/water solutions?

Thanks in advance!

Foaming in TEG regeneration / Gas Dehydration Units (GDU) units are widely reported. It is customary to use some defoamers/antifoamers to suppress this problem.
