Kindly explain about this issue,To simulate double pipeline (pipe in pipe )simluation.That is one pipe is carring vinyl chloride monomer in T1 temperature,and ;other pipe is covered by on that like double pipeheat exchanger.
How i can simulate in HYSYS ?
the pipelne length is in km terms..,

It sounds as if you are refering to a jacketed pipe. In cases I have seen, the jacketed pipe is long enough and effective enough that the inner pipe's contents essentially reach the jacket (outer pipe) temperatures. Jackets tend to be used more for heat maintenance rather than more traditional heat exchange applications. (Please provide inner & outer pipe inlet & outlet temperatures and indicate phases and cocurrent or countercurrent flow if you would like a better analysis of your situation.) Beyond this, if you are truly trying to estimate heat transfer, I would try to use a simple U*A type of heat exchanger. You must, of course, have an estimate for both U and A if you go this route. My least favored approach would be to try to model this as a rigorous shell & tube. I haven't used Hysys in a long time, so my comments are based more on my more recent ProII experience, and I have never tried to "trick" my simulator into treating a double pipe exchanger as a S&T exchanger. BUT, a DP exchanger looks an awful lot like a long, thin, single tube S&T exchanger, so if the simulator will accept your inputs treating it that way, you could give it a try.
