Dear people,

For Waterhammer calculations I'm looking for the Muduli of Elasticity of several fluids such as gasoil, naphtha, jet fuel, etc. I have not been able to find them.

My question: is anyone able to share this data or can someone point me to resources where I might find this type of information?

Regards

You should search for "Bulk Modulus", or its inverse "Compressibility".

I "googled" with what Guido recommends and got a whole litany of hits. Just two are:

1) Bulk Modulus (for most any hydrocarbon liquid), PSI = 100000*exp(1.9947-0.00013427*TempF - 0.79392/SG^2-0.002326*TempF/SG^2)

TempF = Temperature of the hydrocarbon liquid Fº
SG = specific gravity at your TempF

Note: not the isothermal bulk modulus or the adiabatic bulk modulus. Adiabatic Bulk modulus is about 15% higher; Isothermal Bulk modulus is about 15% lower.

2) http://www.smartcock...acteristics.pdf

I don't think you have been looking very hard - or at all.
