Dear All,
Can everybody, who has a lot of experiences in VRU (vapor recovery unit) of LPG storage system, answer to my below questions:
-May the screw type compressors be suitable for recovery of LPG (mostly propane) vapors would be generated during its storage as BOG (boil off gas)?
-If so,should the compressor be oil-free?

Fallah:
Screw compressors are being used quite a lot in VRU units - especially those with capacity controls.
There is no reason to specifiy an oil-free unit - unless you require it for your process. If so, be prepared to accept a marked increase in slippage and an efficiency drop.
