Hi
I have been searching for some articles of chemical engineering interest.
One of such is "Designing Piping for Gravity Flow" by Hill, Chemical Engineering, September 5 1983.
I approached the publisher of the magazine - Chemical Engineering and was advised to register before gaining access to their archives. I did register and, to my disappointment, most articles in the archives give just the abstract and NOT the article itself. I approached the publisher again and I was informed that it was impossible to get the full version of the articles in the archive neither could I order for a reprint. However, I got a refund for the registration fees.
I will appreciate any hint from forum members on how to get articles from archives. Maybe there are third-party companies offering this service. I would like to know.

Everybody:
P.D. Hill's article, "Designing Piping for Gravity Flow", is considered so important that it has been copied and distributed in the Design Manuals of some of the major engineering companies. I've known this and that is why I took the time and effort -some years back- to convert this article (complete with diagrams and illustrations) into an Excel spreadsheet that I included in one of my fluid flow workbooks that I have posted several times in these Forums.
Look through the Excel workbooks that I have posted and you will find the complete article. I heartily recommend everyone to read and study it.

Excellent reference Smalawi.
I was looking for this specific reference in an old post from one of our members, Guido, but I couldn't find it. I also had it noted down somewhere, but I lost it. Thanks to you, I now have it again.
This is a valuable piece of information. It can save a lot of time and effort. Even our professional members should have access to the identification of this source.
Thanks, again.
